The Book "Escape in Iraq" by Thomas Hamill

Faced with mounting farm debt at home, Mississippi truck driver Hamill was lured to Iraq by a $75,000 tax-free contract from KBR to run supplies. He was abducted on April 9, 2004, and his escape 24 days later made worldwide news. Hamill's first-person account is fascinating.
Escape in Iraq by Thomas Hamill is a book I just couldn't put down.

I just wanted to share the book with everyone in my family. Like they would just have to read it to see what I was talking about. My wife said" Gee you really like that book don't you? You can't put it down."

"Yes I do." I replied while sipping tea from my coffe cup with the words "I'm Proud to be an American" on it.

This is the best book I've read in a very long time. I read mostly technical books and health books. Maybe a few pages here a chapter there, skipping around. With Escape from Iraq, I just wanted to keep reading it, although I did take breaks from time to time.

I think you will find this an interesting book that will keep your eyes glued to the pages.

It was surprising that Thomas remembered so many details. I suppose that was one of the few things that he was allowed to do.

Interesting how his captors would treat him. The funny nicknames he had for them without their knowledge I'm sure.

Wonder what he was thinking when he was in the back of that car with the camera rolling and a gun to his head? He will tell you . I remembered when I first seen that on TV. I thought, He doesn't look like he's going to take too much cr*p from those terrorist.
